Norwood Comfort Homes is an independent living program in Detroit for veterans, adults with disabilities, people seeking stable housing, and anyone who would benefit from an affordable room in a shared home.
Residents manage their own daily living. Our program focuses on housing, connection, work transportation, and activities. We do not provide personal care or medical services.

Is this an adult foster care home?
No. Norwood Comfort Homes is an independent housing program. Residents manage their own personal care, medication, and daily routines.
Is transportation included?
Work transportation is included in the program. Please call to discuss schedules, destinations, and availability.
Can residents have visitors?
Yes. Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., subject to the house rules shared before move-in.
What are the house expectations?
Norwood Comfort Homes is a drug-free home built around dignity and stability. Residents must be able to live independently and follow the residency agreement and house rules. This is shared independent housing, not an assisted-living facility, nursing home, or medical provider.
